About this class:
A 20 minute class suitable to anyone want to begin to explore Ashtanga Yoga starting in an easy and approachable way.
You will learn how to connect your breath with the movement and how to start moving through the Sun Salutations, ending with a short finishing postures sequence.

About Laruga:
Laruga Glaser has studied with the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, and makes annual trips to Mysore, India, to practice with his grandson R. Sharath Jois. An advanced level practitioner and student of yoga, as well as a Level 2 Authorized Teacher from KPJAYI, Laruga entered into teaching after many years of sustained practice and brings with her over 20 years total experience instructing body movement.

Join me for this 35 minute practice with a focus on the movement and philosophy of ease. Sometimes, this is easier said than done. It can be “easier” to do what you are told rather than find what feels good and be present in your body. The fundamentals of ease is a practice that can shift the way you arrive on your mat, and the way in which your time there serves you.

This holistic session will be nice for beginners but also beneficial for anyone at any stage of their yoga practice as it focuses on the philosophy of one of my favorite yoga sutras which teaches us ultimately how to balance effort with ease.

Start by asking: Where can you soften?

And, breathe, baby, breathe.

    Ironically my thighs have never burned this much during yoga before. I was almost unsure if I'd be able to finish it. I think it was because I really had to focus on connecting all the thigh muscles

    This was hard, even just trying to bring my foot through my legs to meet my hands is so difficult on one side. I have worked out daily for 13 years, but never take time to stretch. My body is stiff, my hips are tight, and I find it hard to be still and quiet. Today is day 15 of yoga every single day, I’m trying to learn to enjoy it.
