Join us for this great GLUTES AND CORE WORKOUT with a yoga block (20 minute) taught by Human 2.0 strength and mobility coach Emma Bissonnette. This exercise routine is designed to activate those stubborn core and glute muscles in a safe, effective, and functional way.

Emma will lead you through two circuits with three exercises each – one for the glutes, one for the posterior chain, and one for the core muscles. Pay careful attention to the proper technique cues that she gives to prevent injury and to get as much value from this core and glutes workout circuit as possible. FYI, these exercises are great because they are exercises you can do anywhere (exercises you can do at home) and they don’t require any gym equipment whatsoever. It’s all about functional fitness and doing exercises that will help you move better day to day!

The first part is more of a working warm up, but don’t worry, the second part of this glutes and core exercise routine will definitely be more challenging.

SHOULDER STRETCHES ROUTINE with a resistance band

Doing any kind of bodyweight glute or core workout is great because it’s so convenient, and it’s perfect for beginners as they start to learn how to control their bodies in space, but also good for seasoned fitness people to master what they are doing and add to other things. Doing a bodyweight strength workout is preferable for beginners because they must learn the physical literacy skills BEFORE adding equipment to their workouts. Practicing movement mastery is key to injury prevention.

Incorporate this 20 minute glutes and core workout into your fitness routine today. Remember to always work through a full range of motion, and use proper technique. Don’t rush. Always use mindfulness and intention when you are doing any type of exercise to get the full benefit.
