i just bought the laptop.. its super great.. but like in the video… the image looks washed out /bad contrast when its unplugged..?? why would Lenovo do that… makes no sense..

You know what, I found this too. I thought it was strange. This laptop if it comes out will make a lottt of laptops obsolete I think. It's a lot of performance for the price. REMEMBER THAT ALL LAPTOPS ALREADY USE INTEL SO IT WOULD BE LIKE SELF DESTRUCT. THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT. BELIEVE ME THE MARKET IS PLANNED.

At 5:58, I don't really think that it was your review unit, cause I also have the slim 7 and I have the same issue, and the one on the display at the Lenovo store also had this, so I feel it is present on every unit.

imo you were a little too forgiving on the inputs here, letting sub-optimal tracking slide because its got otherwise good specs. Specs are pointless if the laptop is bad to use, if the trackpad is bad it doesn't matter whether it's running a Pentium or a Ryzen 9- you're not going to like it after a while. Inputs are way more important than the internals.

Seems some of these ultrabooks are a couple of generations behind in the processor area, would be nice if they had 10th generation processor's. Or would I really see much difference between the 8th & 10th generation processor?

I bought one Dell silver 7306 one month and a half ago for a Christmas present. When we opened it we had a bad surprise. It is almost impossible to see the letters and symbols on the keyboard even though the maximum backlight is set. The light proceeding from the screen makes it impossible. It is very difficult to use it with this incomprehensible error in the design. Although Dell has acknowledged the issue, they have not solved it, due to the time elapsed from purchase to opening. Don't buy the silver model.

The Lenovo Flex 5 14" with AMD seems to be the best bang for the buck. If you want something more premium, the Dell XPS laptops are all excellent choices. They would be even better if they were running AMD.
