    Up until about 2 weeks ago, I didn't understand how essentially important thoracic mobility/strength was. It involves everything from posture to correct form in pull ups and dips and everything in between.

    I would try the gloves out. I find I slip on my hands all the time. My weight plus a little sweat makes for a dangerous pose

    Love the tips. The wrong mat can really ruin your yoga practice. I was a gifted a ridiculously expensive mat that was so slippery, it was downright dangerous. The manufacturer said to scrub it with salt to remove the film/coating but that didn't work. I had to toss it. I'll def have to try your cushy, thick mat. I use blocks, straps and sometimes another folded mat to place under my knees. With the proper modifications, yoga is def for every body!
